Series Description
Since the inception of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in 1949, Canada has been actively involved in the protection and promotion of ‘Western democratic’ ideals. Accordingly, the Canadian government has maintained a strong international presence in negotiations for the global maintenance of peace and security.
